Constructing Connectivity is an interactive way of designing with body movement. The process integrates the human body with our industrial machines and reintroduces craftsmanship into our modern systems. Using textile design as a first application, graphic patterns are generated from the body, customized through the Constructing Connectivity software, and translated through digital files to the industrial loom. A special translation process turns black and white graphics into dimensional textile outcomes. First prototypes are woven as finished products (clothing) in the weaving process. These products are woven in one piece on the loom, washed, cut from the cloth and are ready to wear.
